Spring Garden~after the Spring Rains

It has been raining here for the last couple of days~today is the 1st real nice day we have had since last Friday!  I dared to go out in the back to see how everything faired from the wind storm on Sunday and Monday!  Several more of my Dutch Irises opened up, and the roses are just starting to fill in!  I took a few shots of the flower garden~ my veggies are also doing very well~time for some salads before the romaines go bad!  Looks like rain will return on Monday~so I may spend Saturday putting in the tomatoes and peppers!  Got the bed all ready with new soil and fresh compost from my composter!  The rain barrel is so swollen and full~I wish had invested in 2.  What I really need is a bigger yard!  That is another story left for another time!
Take the time to stop and enjoy your Mother (nature) you only have one!

  1. The garden looks lovely, Jamie. :) It's still not prime time for us to do our planting, but we are looking forward to growing tomatoes, lettuce, green beans, strawberries, and all other sorts of natural goodies. :) Theresa

  2. I envy your green thumb. As a small time gardener I know how much work and love you put into this - love it!
